As a mum of two I realised early on how sleep becomes a priority for a happier parenting experience.

Four weeks into becoming a first time mum I was exhausted, sobbing into the arms of my own mum, utterly confused and taken by surprise as to how little my baby was sleeping.

Didn’t babies sleep like…well…babies?

Once I had dusted myself off and read every book on infant sleep I could get my hands on, I became obsessed with sleep schedules and routines. With this knowledge came confidence and my daughter was like clockwork by week 12.

However the approach had left me a nervous wreck and terrified that if I didn’t stick to all these rules, the sleepless nights would return! Covid lockdowns did not help this, and I would fear leaving the house in case it ruined everything.

After my husband kindly persuaded me that our darling daughter would probably like a sibling I got preparing myself for round two.

My experience with my son couldn’t have been more different. It was an absolute joy from the start! With more research I realised that you can have flexibility and a little one that slept well whatever the day had planned.

I want to bring this confidence, calm and happiness to parents by helping them all get the sleep they need so they can maintain a balanced life where parenting is the joy it’s meant to be!
